1) What’s your favorite session type to capture and why?
In Los Angeles, I love springtime, I love the pops of color and lushness amongst the desert background. Fall in New York is so classic and picturesque. The mixture of the cool air and the red and orange giant leaves feels like the perfect moment to bring family and friends together.
2) Why do you love being a Briar Rose Photographer?
I love that Briar Rose champions and celebrates talented female photographers. I believe women have a keen eye for beautiful and soft photos and a gift when it comes to working with families. I also love the high standard that Briar Rose upholds for every shoot and the focus on creating a memorable experience for the families.
3) Fun Facts about you
I’m Japanese American but I was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. I’m currently bi-costal between Los Angeles and New York City. I’m a foodie, a people lover and I’m a happy Auntie to three nephews who are 2, 5 and 7 years old.
4) Why is photography so important?
Life moves fast and family units are constantly evolving. When we take time to capture a moment in life, we’re always so grateful we did. Having memories to pass on through generations and remembering a vacation, a school year or a special occasion is never something we regret. Working with talented photographers who want to create these beautiful images for you is part of what makes it special. Photos are how I learned about my family and the generations before me. They are the ways I reminisce about the people who have impacted me and the times that made me who I am.
5) What’s your photography “mission” or hope for each session
I really hope to make people feel seen, beautiful and comfortable. I want people to have fun and connect with their family and feel free to be themselves. I want to make the experience easy and make them feel like they are taken care of by me. I want them to have a mixture of gorgeous photos for the clients to choose from.

A family portrait session in the park!
2) Why do you love being a Briar Rose Photographer?
I love capturing bright, warm moments for wonderful people under Michelle’s training and support!
3) Fun Facts about you
-I was trained as a gymnast!
-I love cinema and go to the theater every week.
-I go to Paris at least once a year to be with my family.
4) Why is photography so important?
A photograph has an incredible ability to transport you back to a specific moment .I strive to create images that not only look beautiful but also hold the power to transport you back to specific joyous moments shared with your loved ones.

My mission for photo sessions is to capture the genuine joy of personal family moments that often go undocumented and transform them into cherished keepsakes that will be treasured for years to come!

To capture you where you are at! Bring the crazy, the tired, the joyful. You are always enough, whatever stage of life you are at is worth being captured!

I love proposals! There’s so much joy and excitement, and it’s really special to be able to help plan out the perfect moment.

I love what Briar Rose stands for. We are a group of go-getter women who work hard, enjoy what we do, and truly support each other!
3) Fun Facts about you
I moved to NYC when I was 18 to pursue dance, and performed all over the country in shows. My favorite was the Saturday Night Fever National Tour!
4) Why is photography so important?
Photography is a way to preserve memories. Life can move so quickly, and photography allows us to slow down and capture what we love and appreciate through photos.
5) What’s your photography “mission” or hope for each session
My photography mission is to capture the uniqueness of each session. Each family, couple, newborn, is different, and the goal is to have your personalities shine through!
1) What’s your favorite session type to capture and why?
My favorite sessions are when I get to capture the joy and genuine antics of young kids! With a background as a nanny, I’ve got a secret recipe to connect with them, creating an environment where their personalities shine. There’s nothing quite like freezing those playful moments and unfiltered expressions of childhood.

I love being a Briar Rose Photographer because of the amazing clients I get to work with! Every session tells a unique story, and I cherish being part of those moments.
3) Fun Facts about you
I love to sew my own clothes. Chances are I’ll be wearing something handmade to our session.

Photography is so important because it immortalizes moments, turning fleeting experiences into everlasting memories.
5) What’s your photography “mission” or hope for each session
My mission for each photography session is to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience where clients feel relaxed and comfortable. This allows me to capture genuine happy moments and expressions. Ultimately, my hope is that clients not only have a wonderful time during the shoot but also fall in love with their images.
1) What’s your favorite session type to capture and why?
My favorite sessions would have to be newborn or engagement!! I love the excitement of newborns and watching parents love their new babies- some as first-time parents and some as seasoned pros- but the love is always overflowing! And for engagements, whether a surprise proposal or just capturing the newly cemented status change is absolutely amazing. I love being able to tell your story through photos and capture the love between two people
2) Why do you love being a Briar Rose Photographer?
I love being a BR photographer because 1) how many women can say that they work with an incredible team of all female photographers and admin?! And two, the briar Rose clients are the absolute best!
3) Fun Facts about you
I am from Chattanooga, TN. Studied Ancient Rhetoric and how it applies to modern day marketing, contemporary British drama, and Shakespeare abroad at Oxford University. I moved to NYC at the end of January of 2018! I know every Disney princess song and will randomly burst out singing in your session if need be.
4) Why is photography so important?
Photography is so important because it captures everyday moments for the rest of your life. It’s not just about a cake smash or an engagement or a fun party, it’s about memorializing the moments to remember for generations to come!
5) What’s your photography “mission” or hope for each session
My mission for each session is to bring love and laughter and joy and capture not just the “perfect” moments when everyone is looking into the camera, but the messy and the real and the beautiful moments in between
