Our Story: Introducing Briar Rose Photo Co.

Briar Rose Photo Co., is a creative photography company with a  team of handpicked, talented female photographers. Briar was created by Michelle, of Michelle Rose Photo (MRP). 

After many years as a photo editor and shoot producer in the magazine world, Michelle launched her own business, Michelle Rose Photo, creating gorgeous lifestyle portraits. It didn’t take long for MRP to become one of the most sought after family photographers in NYC and to keep up with bookings…

Briar Rose Photo Co. was born!

Michelle developed and mentored a team of photographers to shoot in her signature MRP, bright & clean style! The Briar Rose team of seasoned photographers offer clients a more accessible way to capture all those special moments! While the retouching team is the same as MRP (yes! That means you get the same high quality perfectly polished final images as MRP) the tiered pricing structure and extended location options within Briar Rose are just two of the differences between MRP and BR, allowing a broader range to fit various budgets.

Michelle Rose Photo (MRP)

  • Clients have a custom experience which includes travel to any location in the Tri-state area (Florida and California bookings at certain times of year).
  • Photography sessions are taken by Michelle.
  • No mini sessions are available at this time.
BRP website

Briar Rose Photo Co. (BR)

  • Clients have a custom experience which includes travel sessions to any location in the Tri-state + in states outside of the tri-state area – including MA, PA, FL and CA (Los Angeles-based).
  • Photographers from the company are assigned to each session based on client preference and availability. Michelle is not one of the photographers available.
  • Custom Mini sessions available all year with one of the “new faces” (within Manhattan and specific areas in Los Angeles).

MRP and BR are also much alike…

  • A fashion guide and session prep guide are provided to help prepare you for your session.
  • Final images are chosen by the client from a proofing gallery and then sent out to professional retouchers to be perfected.
  • Clients have the opportunity to order additional retouched images from their proofing gallery.
  • Proofing gallery downloads (as keepsakes) are included in all sessions, as well as a printing credit.
  • Session options include:
    Family, Maternity, Newborn, Cake Smash, Engagement, Proposals, Corporate Headshots, Interiors, Branding, Micro Weddings, Mitzvahs, Event & Party Sessions.
